About Lisa
Lisa’s goal is not photorealism, but rather to create an impression or feeling, which is more difficult than one might think…
Captivated by the natural beauty surrounding her homes in the mountains of Stowe, VT and the ever changing ocean and river habitat in Melbourne Beach, FL, painting, has become Lisa’s passion. At the easel, seconds become hours, without thought to anything other than the canvas, brushes and paints. She strives, not to duplicate her subject, but to capture a moment in time, an illusion or an emotion, allowing the viewer to imagine themselves in the picture see it as a reflection of an image or a memory significant to them.
Lacking formal art education, but for a class here or there, Lisa’s a bit of a frenzied artist, the freedom to create, without boundary, her motivation. This often results in stacks of unfinished canvases and layers upon layers of paint before that moment when she steps away from the easel for the last time. Both of her homes are a virtual gallery of her favorites and both have stacks of un-hung extras that her friends have encouraged her to share with others, which she has finally found the courage to do, through this platform and a few local venues.
Lisa celebrates each sale with awe and gratitude.
